Visa Requirements
The citizens of European Union (EU) member states, European Economic Area (EEA) countries and Switzerland do not require visa for short stays. The passport holders of all the other countries are required to have a visa. Non-EU citizens living in one of the Schengen countries with a valid residence permit do not need a visa for the visits.

Getting to Kiel, Germany
By plane:
Hamburg International Airport with flights from almost all major cities is about 90 km from Kiel which is about 1 hour drive by taxi or airport bus ´Kielius`. More information about the airport can be found here.
From Hamburg airport to Kiel:

By Train:
Kiel Central Station is in the heart of the city close to Bus Terminal, Ferry Stand and main Taxi Station and has a good network of ICE and Regional trains. By Car:
Coming from the north or from the south, Kiel can be reached via the motorway A7 and A215 (coming from the south)/ A210 (coming from the north).
It’s essential for drivers to possess a valid international driving permit, along with their national driver’s license, and ensure their vehicle insurance covers travel in Germany. Additionally, familiarizing oneself with German traffic regulations and signage is recommended for a safe and smooth journey. Speed regulations on German highways, known as Autobahns, vary, but a speed of 130 km/h (approximately 80 mph) is recommended if not limited to a lower speed. Within cities, speed limits typically range from 30 km/h to 50 km/h (approximately 19 mph to 31 mph), with signs indicating the specific limit for each area.
Transportation within Kiel
The bus service in Kiel covers the entire urban area as well as many beaches nearby with high frequency services to the conference location. The nearest bus stops to the venue are Uni-Hochhaus and Uni-Westring. From the Main station (Kiel HBF) the buses 61/62, X60, 81, 6, 50, 91 can be taken.
