Conference Fees Policy

All conference participants must register for the conference. This includes presenters in tutorials and special sessions.

The registration fee covers:

  • attendance to all sessions,
  • ID card with ribbon,
  • online access pre-print proceedings and program
  • the welcome reception on June 29th,
  • lunches and coffee breaks during the conference,
  • the conference gala dinner on July 2nd,
  • public transport in Kiel from June 29th until July 3rd.

The tutorials/workshops on Sunday June 29th preceding the main conference have separate fees.
The companion fee (for accompanying persons) includes the welcome reception and the conference dinner.
One (1) full registration will be valid for two (2) paper presentations, provided that the registered presenter is one of the authors of both paper presentations. Additional papers will require additional full registration fees (each covering a maximum of two papers).
One (1) student registration allows only one (1) paper presentation.
In order for your paper to be included in the congress program and in the proceedings, the corresponding registration fee must be paid by the early-bird deadline.
As per IEEE PES policy, no–shows will be removed from post‐conference distribution and will not be available on IEEEXplore or other public‐access IEEE forums.

Conference Fees

The conference fees will be detailed soon. All figures are inclusive of VAT and given in EUR (i.e. these are the totals you will be charged).

*Members are required to indicate their IEEE membership number during registration and to bring along their current IEEE membership card for verification at the conference.

**Participants are eligible for student rate if they are a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate student. Participants must send their Student Identification Card and/or IEEE Membership Card during registration and bring it to the conference for verification.

Fees Cancellation Policy

All cancellations or refund requests must be made in writing by e‐mail to the IEEE PowerTech Kiel registrations@powertech2025.uni-kiel.de

Cancellations received on or before June 1st 2025 will receive a refund of the amount paid as stated in the original receipt. Please note there will be a cancellation fee of €100 deducted from each refund.

NO REFUNDS will be given for cancellations received after June 1st 2025.

The refund will be processed only after the conference.

Substitutions for paid registrants may be made at any time without penalty.

Letter of Invitation

Whether you are required to have a Visa or not to travel to Germany, the letter of invitation provided by the conference organizers may be useful for agents at Ports of Entry to determine that a person is a legitimate visitor that intends to attend the conference.

Per the conference policy, only duly registered participants (authors and attendees) may get an invitation letter.
